Clean, repair, collect by VEJA

VEJA’s "Clean, Repair, Collect" initiative promotes sneaker longevity and sustainable practices through global cobbler stations.

VEJA, known for its eco-conscious approach to footwear, launched the "Clean, Repair, Collect" initiative to extend the lifespan of sneakers and promote sustainable practices within the fashion industry. Starting in 2020, VEJA introduced cobbler stations worldwide, located in cities like Paris, Berlin, and Brooklyn, where customers can clean and repair sneakers. So far, over 25,000 pairs have been restored, reducing waste and championing a circular economy model.

VEJA’s flagship cobbler station in Darwin, Bordeaux—a social and ecological hub—repairs and refurbishes not only VEJA sneakers but also footwear from other brands. As this initiative spread globally, each location began to embrace VEJA’s vision of sustainability by offering cobbler services, recycling facilities, and even workshops that provide employment opportunities to marginalized communities. From recycling boxes in Galeries Lafayette to the Brooklyn in-store cobbler, VEJA is creating spaces that encourage consumers to repair, rather than replace, their sneakers.

Through these efforts, VEJA transforms fashion's fast-paced, disposable mindset into a movement focused on longevity, quality, and ecological consciousness, setting a new benchmark in sustainable footwear.
