South by Southwest® (SXSW) is an annual event that brings together film, interactive media, music festivals, and conferences. This year, it took place in Austin, Texas, from the 6th to the 15th of March 2025. The conference is a platform for film, music, and tech entrepreneurs to collaborate under the same roof. Starting as a music festival, SXSW has morphed into an international conference, creating a network of creative expertise for businesses and innovators to collaborate.

We also attended the event and had the opportunity to experience many exciting moments with many exciting people! 

During our visit, we attended the International Breakfast Welcome at the Four Seasons Hotel in Austin, it was a warm welcome. We where looking forward to the events and keynote presentations planned for this week and meeting entrepreneurs and creatives worldwide.

The conference is a great opportunity to dive into diverse industries. We had a great session with Sigrid Buehrle, Senior Vice President at adidas about circularity and the transition we are making as transparency and honest marketing become the forefront of sustainability. We also got some insight on how transparency will be important for brands trying to break into the world of sustainability in 2025, it's not about storytelling, cool graphics, and possible greenwashing anymore. The future of sustainability lies in data and transparency from businesses regarding progress in new policies and a consistent commitment to circular principles.

SXSW 2025 was a lovely event that we were lucky to attend and meet creatives and sustainable pioneers firsthand, the yearly conference is packed with activities and presentations with plenty of new things to learn, so next year be sure to get your badges early and join us at South by South West next time.
